- Vaccination Certificates: Yellow Fever Inoculation is a requirement only if the journey to the Republic of Namibia entails passing through the Yellow Fever area of Africa by any means other than by a scheduled air service. The validity of a Yellow Fever certificate begins 10 days after the date of vaccination.
- Malaria is endemic in the Northern and Eastern parts of Namibia. This includes the Etosha area. Visitors are well advised to commence a course of prophylactics, especially if visiting these regions during the rainy season December to April. Use insect repellents and dress accordingly.
